Free, in-person events at the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum. All ages welcome!


First Friday
Free, family-friendly evening of art and music at HiSAM! All museum galleries and the Sculpture Garden will be open. Come visit the exhibits and enjoy performances in the garden! Admission is free and all ages are welcome.
•6:30pm – 7:30pm: Alecia

•8:00pm – 9:00pm: Ragamuffs

The Vibe: Live Music Night at HiSAM
Join us on November 11th for the latest installment of The Vibe, a monthly live music series held at the Hawai‘i State Art Museum, in partnership with the Dae Han Ensemble! This month’s featured artists are vocalists Kelsea Armstrong and Maryanne Ito, along with instrumentalists DeShannon Higa and Arthur Davis.
On the grand lanai, Pau Hana Painters will return, along with food vendors and our bar, sponsored by the Friends of HiSAM.

Hawaiʻi Triennial Tour with curator Drew Broderick
Starting November 5, tours will be Wednesday, Fridays, and Saturdays 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. in the second floor galleries. No registration required; meet in the second floor lobby. All ages welcome. For more information please visit the Hawaiʻi Contemporary website: HawaiiContemporary.org/PublicPrograms.

2022 Hawaiʻi Triennial
The 2022 Hawaiʻi Triennial exhibit at the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum will be on display through December 3, 2022. Admission to the display at the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum is free. The museum is closed on Tuesday November 8 (Election Day) and open on Friday November 11 (Veterans’ Day holiday).

The Hawai'i State Art Museum is dedicated to presenting the largest and finest collection of works by Hawai'i artists that celebrate the diverse artistic and cultural legacy of Hawai'i.

OUR MISSION
To promote, perpetuate, preserve and encourage culture and the arts, history and the humanities as central to the quality of life of the people of Hawai`i. HSFCA funding is provided by the State of Hawai`i and the National Endowment for the Arts. The HSFCA is administratively attached to the Department of Accounting and General Services.

HOURS:
The musuem is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed State and Federal Holdays. Always free admission. For pre-recorded information call 586-0900.
