13th FESTIVAL OF PACIFIC ARTS & CULTURE EVENTS

As a one of the host sites for the 2024 Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC), Capitol Modern will be featuring daily performances and cultural presentations June 9 - 14. Celebrating the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts & Culture (FestPAC)

•   5:00 p.m. Opening protocol and remarks on the front lawn

•   6:00 - 6:30 p.m. Hula Kiʻi performance in the Sculpture Garden

•   6:45 - 7:45 p.m. Kamakēhau Fernadez in the Sculpture Garden

•   8:00 - 9:00 p.m. Leiʻieʻie in the Sculpture Garden

•   9:00 - 9:45 p.m. Kupaʻāina in the Sculpture Garden.

•   New exhibits in all galleries.

    The free, contemporary public art gallery of Hawai‘i has evolved and rebranded, debuting a new name, creative gathering spaces and calendar of events. Formerly called the Hawai‘i State Art Museum (HISAM), the name Capitol Modern is meant to better reflect its location in Honolulu’s historic Capitol District and the vibrant modern art experience people have come to love.

    Capitol Modern is eager for the public to experience this next chapter in their evolution as the people’s museum, and the opportunity to reach diverse audiences in all Hawai‘i communities.
