    Broadway returns to Hawai‘i with an exciting new lineup and the reopening of the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall

    HONOLULU — Mayor Rick Blangiardi is thrilled to welcome the return of Broadway in Hawai‘i. MagicSpace Entertainment announced that they will be bringing three incredible productions to the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall, which will reopen in early 2025 following the first phase of renovations. This exciting new season will feature the Hawai‘i debut of SIX and TINA,as well as the much-anticipated return of CHICAGO. These Tony Award-winning shows promise to offer Honolulu residents and visitors a Broadway experience like no other.

Blaisdell Concert Hall with the return of a full season of Broadway in Hawaiʻi,” said Mayor Rick Blangiardi. “This is a testament to our commitment to enriching the cultural landscape of Honolulu, and we are very excited to welcome residents and visitors alike to experience world-class performances right here in our city.”
    The 2025 Broadway in Hawaiʻi season will kick off with a dazzling lineup:

    TINA: The Tina Turner Musical (debut) – April 22-27, 2025

    Honoring the legacy of one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll performers of all time, “TINA” is set to rock the stage in April. This electrifying musical celebrates the life and career of Tina Turner, from her humble beginnings to her transformation into the global “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Featuring Turner’s iconic hits, this show is sure to be an unforgettable experience for music lovers.

    SIX: The Musical (debut) – June 17-29, 2025

    The global phenomenon “SIX” arrives in June, offering a fresh and empowering take on history. This modern reimagining of the six wives of Henry VIII transforms them into pop queens, each telling their side of the story through catchy songs and dynamic performances. With its infectious energy and witty lyrics, “SIX” has become a must-see production that has taken Broadway by storm.

    CHICAGO – December 2-7, 2025

    Get ready for a razzle-dazzle night as “CHICAGO,” one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals, takes the stage in December. Known for its signature style, snappy dialogue, and iconic choreography by Bob Fosse, “CHICAGO” tells a story of fame, fortune, and all that jazz set in the roaring 1920s. This multi-award-winning musical will captivate audiences with its timeless tale of ambition and the pursuit of the American Dream.

    As part of the overall revitalization effort for the Blaisdell Center campus, the City’s Department of Design and Construction has spearheaded the first phase of the renovation of the Concert Hall, a beloved landmark for the arts in Honolulu. This 20-month long, $8.9 million project provides extensive safety and modernization improvements to the roof and back-of-house areas, including new dressing rooms, electrical and lighting upgrades, and the installation of a new fire suppression system. Additional projects to renovate the Concert Hall front-of-house and exterior public spaces will be phased over the next five years.


    The Concert Hall is set to re-open in early 2025, featuring a March concert series with the Hawai‘i Symphony Orchestra.
