CALL FOR STUDENT ARTISTS
The annual Hawaiʻi Regional Scholastic Art Awards competition portal is open! Hawai’i students grades 7-12 (ages 13 and up) are eligible. Gold Key award-winning artworks from the competition will be exhibited at Capitol Modern (Hawaiʻi State Art Museum) February 14 – March 14, 2026.
For the 2026 competition SFCA is working alongside local business partner Lexus Hawai‘i, major sponsor and co-presenter for this year’s awards and exhibition. Lexus Hawaiʻi is funding scholarship award opportunities for our student artists. Learn more about the awards in the Lexus Hawaiʻi Scholarship Awards flyer (PDF).
Submissions are submitted through the Art and Writing Awards online portal and are due by December 12, 2025. Learn more about how to enter on the Hawaiʻi Art Region page: ArtAndWriting.org/regions/HI001A.

HT25 TOURS
FIRST THURSDAY OF THE MONTH 12:00 - 1:00 P.M.
Join HT25 co-curator Noelle M.K.Y. Kahanu for a free one-hour tour of the galleries at Capitol Modern, featuring the work of thirteen Hawai‘i Triennial 2025 artists. Learn about their creative processes, inspirations, and the stories behind their work, all within the broader context of the Triennial and ALOHA NŌ. Kahanu’s tour offers a unique opportunity to connect with the art and vision of HT25 at Capitol Modern.
Drop-ins welcome. Reservations requested.
