State Art Museum Celebrates Native Seabird In New Exhibit

HONOLULU—the Hawaiʻi State Foundation on Culture and the Arts (SFCA) announces a new exhibit at Capitol Modern: the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum. The “Woven in the Wind”, a collaboration with Hui Manu-O-Kū, is open through April 4, 2026.


The artist reception is tonight during the State Art Museum’s First Friday event. Friday, February 6, 2025. 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Free admission, all ages welcome. Live music with Backset and Steven Kou, urban market with Art+Flea, live painting with House of Bloom, and an ʻawa and ʻai pop-up in the cafe with chef Nui Kealoha and Waiwai Collective.

“Woven in the Wind: a community celebration of Manu-O-Kū” artist reception, 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Hui Manu-O-Kū volunteers will also have a pop-up from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Ground floor, next to the MORI shop.

HOURS:
The musuem is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed State and Federal Holdays. Always free admission. For pre-recorded information call 586-0900.
